The complicated formation pressure in Bozhong A block brings many risks to drilling, and the accurate calculation of formation pressure is of great significance for the rational selection of drilling fluid density and preventing the complicated conditions such as blowout and well leakage. Through the analysis of the geological reservoir background and the cause mechanism of abnormal pressure in Bozhong A block, it is believed that the formation mechanism of the abnormal pressure in the block should be caused by the undercompaction. The formation pressure of 4 wells in this block is calculated based on Dc index and logging data. The results show that there is a high pressure in Dongsan and Shahejie. It is necessary to use the appropriate drilling fluid density to balance the high pressure formation,so as to ensure the safe and smooth completion of the drilling operation. The Dc index method and the formation pressure calculated by interval transit time are suitable for calculating the abnormal pressure of the Bozhong A block, and the maximum error is 5 %, which meets the needs of the engineering and is of practical significance to the field drilling operation.
