IIMPROVING THE QUALITY OF CHINESE PERIODICALS FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF ENGLISH PERIODICALS IN CHINA

摘　　要：在梳理相关研究文基础上,结合调研数据,总结了我国主办的英文期刊发展的基本成就、主要办刊经验和发展过程中存在的主要问题。英文期刊的影响因子等量化指标提升速度快、国际化程度高、被SCI等数据库收录的比例大。借鉴国内主办英文期刊的主要经验,我国提升中文期刊办刊质量的主要思路应该是:管理服务上优先发展、办刊资源充裕、主办单位重视;办刊机制上坚持专家办刊、国际化办刊、依托优势学科办刊,建立有中国特色的期刊评价体系和持续推动期刊供给侧改革等。Based on the literature review and survey data, this paper summarizes the achievements, experience and major problems during the development of English periodicals in China. Quantitative indicators of English periodicals such as the impact factor have increased rapidly, gained high international exposure and largely included in SCI databases. Lessons can be learned to improve the quality of Chinese periodicals from the experience of English periodicals in China. Suggestions are as follows ： giving priority to management services and resources, insisting on the leading role of experts and advantageous disciplines as well as the key notion of internationalization, establishing periodical evaluation system with Chinese characteristics, and promoring supply - side refoml of periodicals.
