摘　　要：木材作为一种建筑材料伴随着人类建筑史发展至今,已经有几千年的历史,其结构形式和艺术形式已经趋于成熟。在当代,随着新的木材加工技术的发展,这一历史悠久的建材又迸发出新的生命力,创造出更加丰富的建筑形式。本文通过对美国木建筑设计奖的评述,介绍了日本对木建筑创新所作的探索。As a construction material, wood hasbeen developed for several thousand years.The forms of construction and aesthetics havebeen well developed. Today, with the newprocess of technology, the wood spouts thenew vital force, creating more abundancearchitectural forms. This paper reviews theAmerican Wood Design Award and introducesthe creation of wood architecture in Japan.
