摘　　要：对南海东部海域 1 997- 1 998年实测海流资料进行了分析。统计得出潮流各方向的出现频率、平均流速及最大流速、各月平均流速和最大涨落潮流速及流速和流向的联合分布 ;经调和分析 ,给出了各主要分潮流的调和常数和潮流椭圆要素 ;确定该区域属于正规全日潮流性质。A statistical analysis of current data observed in the eastern South China Sea in 1997 and 1998 was made to obtain the occurrence frequencies of tidal current in different directions, the mean and maximum current speeds, the monthly mean current speeds and the maximum flood and ebb current speeds, and the joint probability distributions for current speed and direction, and the harmonic analysis of tidal current was also made to give the harmonic constants of principal constituent currents and the elliptical elements of tidal current. It is determined that the tidal current in the sea area belongs to regular diurnal tidal current.
