摘　　要：城市化是西部大开发的重要途径之一,西部城市化应该选择区域城市化的道路,其基本策略有网络状城市群体系,带状城市体系以及点状城市中心等。在西部大开发过程中,要加速西部城市化的进程,需要进行制度和思路创新,形成多元化的投资格局,让农民企业家和中小企业家成为城镇建设的创业者,通过相应的配套社会政策改革进行科学的管理。Urbanization is one of the important ways of “Grand West Development ”. Urbanization in the west should adopt the regional urbanization strategy. Th e basic strategies include network city group system,strip city group system, a nd spotted city center system, etc. In the course of development of west, urbani zation in west should be speeded up, system and thoughts should be innovated, an d the diversified investment layout should be formed. Farmer entrepreneurs and o ther entrepreneurs in small-and medium-sized enterprises should become the bu ilders of towns and cities. Scientific management is required through reform on the corresponding social policies.
