摘　　要：介绍了 GPRS和 IEEE 80 2 .11WL AN网络以及采用 Mobile IP在这两种网络间提供移动性支持的方案 .分析了 Mobile IP在异种网络间的切换问题 ,提出一种利用驻留计时器和多条隧道技术解决切换过程中的时延问题、包丢失问题以及乒乓效应的切换方案 .The trends of wireless data networks and two main technologies: GPRS and IEEE 802.11 WLAN are introduced. It also introduces the scheme to support mobility in these two networks and analyzes the Mobile IP handoff between the hybrid networks. A new handoff scheme is proposed to reduce the handoff delay, packet loss and to prevent the ping pong effect utilizing the dwell timer and multi tunnel technology.
