摘　　要：China’s production and utilization ofbromine flame-retarding agents alreadyhas a history of over 30 years.Morethan 70 bromine flame-retarding agentsare being produced today.The mostimportant varieties includedecabromodiphenyl oxide,tetrabromobisphenol A and hexa-bromocyclododecane.The output of thefirst two varieties accounts for around50% of the total.Bromine flame-retarding agents havethe advantages of "the smallest addi-tion amount and the greatesteffectiveness".They are halogen or-ganic flame-retarding agents with thegreatest consumption in the world.Worldwide consumption is around 300thousand tons a year today,account-ing for more than 20% of the total us-age of all flame-retarding agents.
