摘　　要：By the end of 2009 China’s total capacityof producing toluene already exceeded 4.70million t/a,the output was 990 000 tonsonly and the import amount was 790 000tons.In spite of the capacity expansion,the output reduced drastically in 2009.Themain reason was that the two oil giantsSinopec Corp.and PetroChina CompanyLimited increased the consumption proportionof toluene in oil product blending
