摘　　要：China raised domestic onshore natural gasbenchmark prices by 25% to RMB 1.16 percubic meter from RMB0.93 per cubic meter,effective June 3rd.An official of the National Developmentand Reform Commission (NDRC) in chargesaid the increase in the ex-factory gas priceswas to reflect the scarcity of domestic gasresources which could not meet the risingdemand.The price hike also came as domesticgas prices were well below other alternativefuels - for example,only a thirdof fuel oil prices,or half the prices of importednatural gas.In addition,the supplyand demand situation has become an increas-
