摘　　要：Isoprene rubber (IR) is one of syntheticrubber varieties with the best overallperformance.Many of its performancesare better than those of butadiene rubberand styrene-butadiene rubber.About70% of IR is used for the production oftires.IR is also used to make cord fabricadhesive,conveyor belts,gaskets,hoses,plastic sheets,adhesive tapes,plasticwires,sponge,adhesives,wires andcables,sports equipment,medical equipmentand shoes.
