摘　　要：天然药物及其单体化合物的现代药理学评价,是现代中药研究和使中药走向世界的关键。本文基于当前动脉粥样硬化基础研究的相关进展,综述了具有抗动脉粥样硬化作用于的天然药物及其单体化合物的现代药理学研究概况。Acc ording to the studies carried out recently,atherosclerosis is considered as an inflammatory disease and its occurrence and development are closely related to the variation of the functions of endothelial cells of blood vessels.As prove d in the clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine,a number of natural medicines and their monomers extracted from Chinese medicinal herbs are able to regulate the functions of endothelial cells and have positive anti-atherosclero sis effects.They are safe,but their effects are weak.If their pharmacologica l effects can be evaluated by modern medical theories and methods and their func tional mechanisms be understood,their prescription can be reformulated more ra tionally so as to improve their therapeutic effects.On the basis of the analysi s in structure-activity relationship of these monomers,their structures can b e changed or directionally rebuilt,and it is hopeful to find a novel anti-ath erosclerosis drug which may be safe,effective and suitable to be taken for a lo ng period of time.
