摘 要:在全球化浪潮中,文化发展与文化软实力提升已成为本世纪综合国力竞争的主要决定因素。要增强中国文化的对外吸引力、影响力和传播力,就要重视语言——这一文化传播和交流重要媒介作用。英语作为一门国际应用最广泛的语言,目前无疑是向世界介绍丰富的中国文化资源的主要工具。因此,高校英语教学应改善过去忽视甚至批判中国文化的状况,将中国文化引入到高校英语课堂教学,加强学生的文化自觉,提高学生用英语表达中国文化的能力,真正激发学生进行文化交流和文化传播的愿望,让中国文化走向世界。With the development of globalization, the promotion of the soft power of culture has become a majorfactor in the competition in comprehensive national strength. To strengthen the power of Chinese culture’sattraction, influence and transmission in the world, the importance of language---one of the most important mediaof the culture’s transmission and communication must be attached. As the most widely used language, English isundoubtedly the main tool to introduce the rich resource of Chinese culture to the world. As a result, the situation ofignorance and even criticism of Chinese culture in higher English education should be changed. Instead, Chineseculture should be introduced into the college English class teaching to promote the students’ cultural consciousnessand the ability to express Chinese culture in English, which will inspire the students’ desire of culturalcommunication and transmission and lead Chinese culture to the world.
