摘　　要：Intonation is one important kind of linguistic prosody. What intonation is and what it does? According to Ten (1996), he gives us the clear definition: intonation is the linguistic use of pitch in utterances; intonation refers to the rise and fall of the pitch of the voice in spoken language. Thus, we know that in linguistics intonation is the variation of pitch when speaking.
