摘　　要：短波传输是一种通用的远距离语音和数据传输方案,但是由于其信道窄,在传输图像时速度很慢。论文提出了一种面向短波传输的监控图像压缩方法,为偏远地区的监控图像传输提供了一种价格低廉,抗损毁性强、部署灵活的数据传输方式。该方法利用监控图像背景变化较小的特点,利用背景建模方法对不同时间段的监控图像建立一组背景库,通过利用背景库对输入的图像进行帧间预测编码,从而减小了压缩后的图像大小,提高了图像传输的速度。实验结果表明,该方法在多个数据集上取得了较好的效果,相比JPEG图像压缩方法,论文方法具有更高的图像压缩率,且压缩后的图像质量更高。Short wave transmission is a common scheme for long distance voice and data communication.However,short wave to send video or image is time consuming because the band width is very narrow.This paper proposes a surveillance image compression method for short wave transmission,which provides a cheap,robust and flexible scheme for surveillance image transmission from remote districts.Gaussian mixture method is employed to build background models of surveillance images,and these back?ground images are utilized to encode the input image with inter-frame prediction,which decreases the data size for transmission and reduces the transmission time.Experimental results show that our method achieves higher compression rate and better image quality comparing with JPEG on multiple datasets.
