摘 要:The use of video in language classrooms is well-established. It is a natural extension of the use of projected images, such as the slide projections and film strips used in some forms of the audio lingual approach. It is also a logical development of the universal use of audio recordings, and compensates for many of the disadvantages of these, notably their lack of visual information. Classroom video use has kept pace with developments in technology, notably the shift from video tape to DVDs. Video is also a standard component of most computer and internet-mediated courses. And, in the form of videoconferencing software, it allows learners and teachers to interact at a distance, and thus create learning environments.
