摘　　要：东方设计学是基于东方文化和东方哲学,结合中国传统造物和环境设计的实践和理论积累,兼容并包的汲取现代设计的精华,从理论和实践的角度构建起的一门具有历史积淀、文化传承和现代生命力的设计学科。在多元化发展的当今世界,东方设计学的出现是现代设计发展的大趋势,也是顺应当前社会发展需要而自然出现的产物。构建东方设计学将有助于从学科理论体系完善、学科人才队伍培养、学科影响力推广以及学科实践成果转化等角度将具有东方文化内涵、审美情趣、人文精神的东方设计理念及其设计实践推向新的发展高度。本文从概念界定、研究内容梳理、研究方法探索以及研究意义等角度阐述构建东方设计学的必要性,以及如何构建东方设计学的方向、方法,以此明晰东方设计学与东方传统造物理念、西方设计学之间关系,勾勒东方设计学的未来发展方向和前景。Based on the oriental culture and philosophy,Oriental Design is constructed as a discipline with its profound roots,cultural heritage and enormous vitality from both theoretical and practical perspectives.It not only borrows the experience of the creative art in ancient China,but also draws the essence of the modern design from nowadays.With the diversified development of the world,Oriental Design complies with the general trend of the modern design progress,and becomes a natural product in the contemporary social life.Functionally,the Oriental Design theory will helps in improving the discipline's theoretical system,training more design talents,increasing the subject's social influence and promoting more design ideas'commercialization.Therefore,the oriental design concept and its practice,which embodies the oriental culture,aesthetic appeals and the spirit of humanity,will be pushed to a new height by the theory's progress.This paper puts forward the necessity of constructing the Oriental Design theory from the perspectives of the concept definition,the research contents,the study methods and the significance,and also discusses the goal,the direction and the path to build up the theory.Besides,it addresses the issue of relationships within oriental design,Chinese traditional material making and western design,and outlines the developing prospects of the Oriental Design theory.
