论父权制文化下《弗洛斯河上的磨坊》中男性与女性的关系

摘　　要：乔治·艾略特是英国维多利亚时期最重要的作家之一,其作品在那个年代深受读者和知名作家的欢迎,如查尔斯·狄更斯、威廉·萨克雷都在其中之列。在艾略特众多作品中,《弗洛斯河上的磨坊》曾一度被看作一部自传体小说,是最能够体现乔治·艾略特所处时代背景的代表作之一。因此,通过解读该作品,来分析19世纪英国维多利亚时期父权制文化下男性与女性的关系,进一步探讨男性中心主义是造成当时社会男性与女性不和谐的主要根源,对平衡当今社会两性关系有一定的借鉴意义。George Eliot is one of the most important writers in the period of the Victorian Britain when his works got popular among readers and well-known writers of whom are Charles Dickens,William Thackeray.In Eliot’s many works,The Mill on the Floss is once seen as an autobiographical novel and is also one of the most representative works that reflects the background of George Eliot’s era.This paper,through the interpretation of the work,therefore,analyzes the relationship between men and women in the Victorian patriarchal culture in England during 19th century,and further explores the fact that the male centralism is the primary sources for the inharmonious relationship between the men and women.This study has a certain reference significance to balance the social relationship in the current society.
