摘　　要：食盐专卖是英国东印度公司在印度强制实行的殖民经济政策的重要组成部分。本文梳理英国东印度公司在印度推行食盐专卖制度的大致过程及其影响,食盐专卖制度在印度的确立主要经历了建立盐专营公司、代理人制度以及盐拍卖制度三个过程。食盐专营这一具有浓厚殖民主义色彩的经济掠夺政策给英国带来了取之不尽的财富,却对印度社会造成了严重的后果。Salt monopoly is an important part of the colonial economic policy enforced by the British East India Company in India.This paper combs the general process and effect of the British East India Company in promoting the salt monopoly system in India.The establishment of the salt monopoly system in India has mainly gone through three processes:the establishment of salt franchising companies,the agent system and the salt auction system.Salt monopoly,a richly colonized economic policy,has brought untold wealth to the United Kingdom but has had serious repercussions on Indian society.
