社会大变革背景下近代内陆士绅比较研究——以刘大鹏、王锡彤为考察对象

摘　　要：刘大鹏和王锡彤分居内陆腹地的山西和河南,都是科举出身,在地方上有一定的影响和知名度。同为内陆士绅,两人身上呈现出一定的相似性,具有鲜明的地域特点,凸显了内陆士绅的一些共性。但在社会大变革背景下,由于自身因素和历史机缘的迥异,两人呈现出很大的差异性,具有明显的个体特点。两人后来的人生发展轨迹也是大为不同:一个终其一生都生活在一个极为狭窄的圈子里,活动范围主要在其所在县域周围;另一个则跳出狭窄的生活圈子,从地方走向国家,成为中州乃至全国的著名实业家,在河南甚至中国近代经济史上,占有一席之地。Liu Dapeng and Wang Xitong,who lived in Shanxi and Henan,respectively in the interior hinterland,were the origins of the imperial examination and had certain influence and popularity in the local area.Same as the landlocked gentry,they two showed a certain similarity,with distinct regional characteristics,highlighting some of the commonness of the landlocked gentry.However,under the background of great social change,the two people showed great differences and had obvious individual characteristics because of their differences in their own factors and historical opportunities.The later life of them two was quite different:One lived lifetime in a very narrow circle which was around the main scope of activities in the county,the other is out of the narrow circle of life,from the“local”to“state”,finally became a famous industrialist in Zhongzhou and occupied a place in Henan and even in the modern economic history of China.
