简论张謇对近代纺织科学事业的贡献

摘　　要：张謇是近代"实业救国"思想的代表人物,他倡导有利于国民经济发展的"棉铁主义""棉尤宜先"战略,创办当时全国最大的纺织企业系统;他大力引进西方科学技术,发展纺织技术教育;他推广农业科技,推进棉作改良,对全国的棉业发展产生重大影响;他致力于现代科学知识的普及与纺织科学技术的运用,扶持中国科学社和中华农学会科学团体。张謇为中国近代纺织的科学事业发展做出了杰出贡献。Abstract:Zhang Jian was one of the representatives who advocated“to save the nation through industries”in modern China.With regard to the development of national economy,he developed strategies of“to develop cotton and iron industries”and“to give priority to cotton industry”and established the then biggest textile company of China.He introduced western science and technology to promote the education of textile technology.He generalized agricultural science and technology and facilitated the modification of cotton crops,which has had significant impacts on the development of cotton industry of China.He was also involved in the popularization of modern scientific knowledge and the application of textile scientific technology,giving support to the scientific institutions such as Science Society of China and Agricultural Association of China.He made great contributions to the development of textile science in modern China.
