摘　　要：Virginia Woolf,one of the founders of the movement known as Modernism,is one of the most important woman writers in Britain.Her“stream-of-consciousness”essays and novels provide an invaluable insight into both her own life experiences and those of women at the beginning of the twentieth century.She has,in the words of one critic,pushed the English language a a little further against the darkr,,and her literary achievements and creativity are influential even today.Especially her artistic conceptions in her works are obvious and worthy of exploration and study.
