摘  要:采用溶胶-凝胶法合成了八聚(四甲基铵)笼形倍半硅氧烷(Octa TMA-POSS),并采用傅立叶红外(FTIR)、核磁共振(NMR)、热重分析(TGA)等对Octa TMA-POSS的结构进行表征.然后,采用熔融共混技术制备PP/IFR/Octa TMAPOSS纳米复合材料,并研究其与膨胀型阻燃剂(IFR)的协效阻燃作用.测试结果表明,添加适量Octa TMA-POSS不仅提高了PP/IFR体系的热稳定性,还进一步降低了PP/IFR体系在燃烧过程中的热释放速率和烟气释放速率;当添加6%Octa TMA-POSS时,PP/IFR/Octa TMA-POSS纳米复合材料达到V0级别.这主要归因于Octa TMA-POSS分解生成纳米分散的二氧化硅,促进复合材料表面形成结实的含炭残余层,阻碍了聚丙烯分解的气体产物逸出和氧气进入聚丙烯基体,从而提高PP/IFR体系的热稳定性和阻燃性能.同时,Octa TMA-POSS的加入提高了PP/IFR体系的拉伸强度和冲击强度.Octa(tetramethylammonium)polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes(OctaTMA-POSS)was synthesized by sol-gel method,which was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR),nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).In order to investigate the synergistic effect of OctaTMA-POSS and IFR in polypropylene(PP),PP/IFR/OctaTMA-POSS nanocomposites were prepared by means of melt blending.The TGA results revealed that the addition of OctaTMA-POSS enhanced the thermal stability of PP/IFR composties.The cone calorimeter results indicated that heat release rate(HRR)and smoke generation rate(SPR)of PP/IFR/OctaTMA-POSS nanocomposites were further decreased in comparison with those of PP/IFR composites.When the amount of OctaTMA-POSS was increased to 6%,PP/IFR/OctaTMA-POSS nanocomposites passed V-0 rating.The reason might be attributed to that nano silica from the decomposition of OctaTMA-POSS promoted the formation of compact residue layer on the surface of composites,which restricted the diffusion of oxygen and organic volatiles.Meanwhile,the addition of OctaTMA-POSS improved the tensile strength and impact strength of PP/IFR/OctaTMA-POSS composites compared with those of PP/IFR composites.
