新形式主义视域中的《野忍冬花》

摘　　要：《野忍冬花》是美国革命诗人菲利普·弗瑞诺最著名的一首诗。从新形式主义视角,对诗歌的诗节结构、语音形式、语法形式和语义形式等进行分析,有助于全面客观地解读《野忍冬花》。全诗四个诗节的布局诠释了野忍冬花的春夏秋冬四个季节;在抑扬格四韵步、韵式为ababcc等语音形式的主导下,扬抑格单词flower的突入突出了该诗的主题;动词时态的变化和分号、冒号的使用加强了野忍冬花的象征意义;修辞与含混把诗歌的伤感融入了哲理的沉思。The Wild Honey Suckle is one of the most famous poems written by Philip Freneau,a poet of American Revolution.This paper analyzes the stanza structure,the phonetic form,the grammatical form and the semantic form from the perspective of new formalism,which is conducive to the comprehensive and objective reading of the poem.The four stanzas of the whole poem suggest the four seasons of the wild honey suckle;Dominated by the verse rhythm of iambic tetrameter and rhyming scheme ababcc,the poem is intruded by the trochee word“flower”,which highlights the theme of the poem;Both the variety of verb tense and the usage of colon and semicolon intensify the symbolic sense of the wild honey suckle;The trope and the ambiguity of the poem fuse the melancholy with the philosophical meditation together.
