摘　　要：叶景葵是合众图书馆的发起人,为合众的发展作有重大贡献,这为人们所共识。但叶景葵对合众图书馆具体有哪些贡献,其在合众图书馆的创办、发展过程中扮演着怎样的角色,人们往往语焉不详,缺乏全面的认识。通过对新近出版的《叶景葵年谱长编》中翔实史料及其他相关材料的爬梳发见,文章指出创办合众图书馆的宏愿出自于叶景葵;合众图书馆的人、财、物为叶景葵所召集;合众图书馆的定位是叶景葵藏书思想的鲜明体现;合众图书馆日常馆务叶景葵全面参与,图书馆为其晚年立命系之,因此文章得出叶景葵是合众图书馆的灵魂之结论,为叶景葵与合众图书馆的关系及其具体贡献,作出了清晰的定位与全面的概括。Ye Jingkui was the sponsor of the United Library and had made great contributions to the development of the United Library,which is the consensus among the people.But what was the specific contribution of Ye Jingkui to the United Library,and what role he played in the establishment and development of the library is not clear and lacks a comprehensive understanding.Through the newly published Ye Jingkui Chronicle in the details of the historical materials and other related materials,the article points out that the grandfather of the founder library was from Ye Jingkui;people,financial,material were convened by him;the orientation of library was the vivid embodiment of Ye Jingkui’s collection of books;the daily library work Ye Jingkui was full participation.The article concludes that Ye Jingkui is the soul of the library of the United Library,and makes a clear positioning and comprehensive summary for the relationship between Ye Jingkui and the United Library.
