Human growth and development are closely related to intestinal microflora, and early life is an important period for the formation of intestinal microflora. It is closely related to the functions of metabolism, immunity, digestion and so on.There are great differences in the number and type of intestinal microflora between low birth weight infants and normal newborns at the early stage of life. This may be caused by different ways of delivery, feeding methods, and early antibiotic application, which interfere with the colonization process of intestinal microflora. In addition, the incidence of obesity in children with low birth weight increases in childhood. This is because that the early antibiotic application causes the structural change of intestinal microflora, and has an impact on digestion, immunity, growth and development, which leads to the occurrence of childhood obesity. Therefore, studying the early application of antibiotics can not only effectively prevent the abuse of antibiotics to a certain extent, but also play an important role in the treatment of diseases,as well as the normal growth and development of children. It can also provide new directions for the number and variety of probiotics supplement.
