孤独心灵的顿悟:《布里尔小姐》的内聚焦叙事模式

摘　　要：《布里尔小姐》是凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德的经典作品之一。小说没有完整的故事情节,只是一些生活片段和瞬间的展示,而这些片段往往被曼斯菲尔德赋予某种象征的意义来揭示主人公的内心世界。小说中顿悟时刻也是小说的精华,不仅唤起读者对人物的同情,而且映射出自己内心的那些相似的孤独与悲哀。固定式内聚焦第一人称内心独白和第三人称旁观者交替使用表现人物意识的心灵顿悟,避免了叙事承担者不在场的叙事困难,犹如一台广角摄像机,让读者全方位去了解并且感受到布里尔小姐晚年孤独、悲惨、凄凉、没有归属感的生活。Mill Brill is one of the most classical short novels of Katherine Mansfield.There are not complete story plots in the novel,which simply display the fragments and moments of life.Those fragments and moments are credited with function of symbols to disclose the main character's inner mental world.The moment of epiphany,the essence of the novel,not only wakes up the readers'sympathy but also reflects their own similar loneliness and sadness.The alternative modes of focalization between the first person internal monologue and the third person spectator are like wide-angled camera renders the readers to sense and undergo the Miss Brill's lonely,bitter and homeless later life from different angles.
