天津动物园食蚁兽饲养管理初探

摘　　要：食蚁兽是一种栖息于南美洲热带地区的哺乳动物,列入《世界自然保护联盟》(IUCN)濒危物种红色名录易危(VU),具有一定的观赏价值和保护价值。随着食蚁兽种群数量的减少,实现动物园对食蚁兽的异地保护十分必要。天津市动物园通过不断改善食蚁兽的圈养条件、优化食蚁兽的饲料营养及加工工艺,为其营造了适宜栖息环境,基本满足了其生存和福利水平。通过日常行为观察发现,在我国北方地区食蚁兽对兽舍、运动场、温湿度、生态环境、饲料及加工工艺等都有很高的要求。为了更好地实现北方寒冷地区的动物园对食蚁兽的异地保护,结合天津市动物园食蚁兽的饲养管理经验,就食蚁兽的圈养条件和饲料营养进行探讨,以期为提升我国食蚁兽的饲养管理水平提供科学依据和实践经验参考。The giant anteater(Myrmecophaga tridactyla)is a mammal of the tropical region of South America.It is listed in the IUCN Red List of threatened species as Vulnerable.It has high ornamental and protection value,and it is necessary to practice the ex situ conservation of giant anteater in zoos because of the decline of giant anteater populations in the wild.The environment of enclosures and the nutritive value of feed were improved at Tianjin Zoo to meet the survival and welfare level of giant anteater.The enclosure environment,activity area,temperature,humidity,ecological environment and feed manufacturing process were all important for giant anteater.The aim of this study was ex situ conservation of giant anteater at a zoo at temperate latitude in north China.This study was based on the feeding management experience of giant anteater in Tianjin Zoo.Our objective was to provide scientific information for enhancing the captive management of giant anteater in China.
