摘　　要：唐时琳是吴敬梓参加博学鸿词科考试的最初举荐者,但是其生卒年份及其生平事迹在既有的学术出版物中却不甚明晰。通过对上海唐氏族谱等资料的考察,可知唐时琳生于康熙元年二月十六日(1662年4月4日),卒于乾隆五年十一月二十八日(1741年1月15日)。他先后娶严氏和吴氏,共育有二子一女,雍正八年(1730)授江宁县儒学训导,受生员敬重,乾隆五年(1740)从江宁县辞官归上海,著有《学庸集说》《诗经正义》等。Tang Shilin was the person who initially recommended Wu Jingzi to attend the Erudite Literatus examinations.But his life remains not so clear in extant academic publications.Based on new sources such as the Qing chronicle of the Tang family,it is found that Tang Shilin was born on 4 April 1662,and died on 15 January 1741.He married lady Yan and then lady Wu.They gave birth to two sons and one girl.Tang was appointed an instructor at the Confucius school in Jiangning county,and received respect from students.He resigned from the position,and returned to his hometown Shanghai in 1740.He had written books such as Xueyong Jishuo and Shijing Zhengyi.
