摘  要:以张之洞为代表人物的晚清地方官绅集团在早期粤汉铁路建设过程中具有重要的作用。第一,张之洞在湖广地区任职时间长达20余年,具有深厚的政治人脉基础,这使得他与湖广的地方官绅集团成员之间有着千丝万缕的联系。第二,地方官绅集团在铁路建设对外交涉的过程中具有一定的政治能量与影响力。第三,粤汉铁路在从提议到借款交涉的早期阶段,地方官绅仅在张之洞的操纵下扮演了舆论发声者的角色,对铁路建设的策略选择并无决定性的作用。The local officials and gentry group in the late Qing Dynasty represented by Zhang Zhidong played an important role in the early construction of Guangdong-Wuhan railway.Firstly,Zhang Zhidong serves in the Huguang area for more than twenty years and has a profound political network base,which made him be closely related to the members of the local officials and gentry group of Huguang.Secondly,the local officials and gentry group has a certain political power and influence in the process of railway negotiation.Thirdly,in the early stage of the negotiation,local officials and gentry group only plays the role of public opinion voice under Zhang Zhidong's manipulation,and has no decisive effect on the strategic choice of railway construction.
