摘　　要：徐宝璜的《新闻学》是中国第一部新闻学理论专著。徐宝璜在《新闻学》之后附的参考书目,囊括了当时美国的重要新闻著作。《新闻学》撰写之时,美国的新闻学研究也处于初创时期,应用新闻学的比重远超过新闻理论研究,《新闻学》受其影响,内容大部分为应用新闻学,不过徐宝璜为了使《新闻学》成为一本导论性质的著作,也加强了新闻理论方面的论述。在成书过程中,徐宝璜吸收了包括海德、布莱耶、休曼等研究者在内众多的美国早期新闻学研究者的成果。在借鉴吸收的过程中,他根据我国具体国情和新闻实践进行了创造性的转换工作,最终完成了我国历史上最早的综合性新闻导论著作,为早期的中国新闻学学术研究与教育做出了重要的贡献。Xu BaohuangC book Journalism is the first monograph on journalism in China.Xu Baohuang^s reference book ata-ched to Journalism included the important American news worlds at tliat time.When he wrote the book,the study of journalism in the United States was still in its infancy and the proportion of applied journalism far exceeded that of journalism theory which made the content of Journalism was mostly practical journalism,but Xu Baohuang wanted to make Journalism an introductory world,so he strengthen the discussion of news theory in his book.In the process of writing the book,Xu Baohuang absorbed many American early journalism studies,including Hyde,Bleye,Hughman and so on.Also,he conducted creative transformation work according to Chinar specific national conditions and news practice,and finally completed the earliest comprehensive journalistic introduction work in China's history,which made important contributions to the early academic research and education on journalism in China.
