摘　　要：OCLC馆藏评估可以帮助图书馆了解本馆馆藏的优劣势,确保经费合理使用,从而优化馆藏,进一步加强文献资源建设,更好地为用户服务。论文对OCLC馆藏评估服务及其功能和特点进行了详细介绍,并以武汉大学、弗吉尼亚理工大学和西佛罗里达大学图书馆为例阐释了OCLC馆藏评估服务的价值所在。The OCLC WorldShare Collection Evaluation is helpful in understanding the advantages and disadvantages of the library collection,the rational use of funds,and optimizing the collection,so as to further strengthen the construction of literature resources and better serve the users.This paper gives a detailed introduction to the OCLC WorldShare Collection Evaluation service and its functions and features,and illustrates the value of the OCLC WorldShare Collection Evaluation service with the examples of the Library of Wuhan University,Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University,and University of West Florida.
