摘　　要：亨利·詹姆斯的一生,是在欧洲旅行中度过的。因此,欧洲旅行成为他的小说中显在的叙事特征。在詹姆斯的欧洲旅行叙事中,主人公不管是天真烂漫的美国姑娘,还是具有一定世俗阅历的中年男人,都在欧洲文化认知的路途中付出了某种代价。《黛西·米勒》中的米勒小姐献出了生命,《贵夫人画像》中的阿切尔小姐陷入国际婚姻的陷阱,《奉使记》中的斯特雷瑟背叛了来自美国的使命。揭示詹姆斯小说中的欧洲旅行叙事,对于认识小说家的叙事艺术和"国际题材"主题本质具有重要意义。The whole life of Henry James was spent in the European journey.Therefore,the European journey narrative forms a salient feature of James’novels.In James’novels of European journey,the protagonists,whether they are innocent American girls,or middle-aged men of worldly experience,all pay a certain price in their recognition of the European culture.Miss Miller,the heroine of Daisy Miller,contributes her life;Isabel Archer,the heroine of The Portrait of a Lady,falls into the international trap of marriage;Strether,the hero of The Ambassadors,betrays his mission from America.The revelation of European journey narratives of Henry James’novels is very important to understand the novelist’s narrative art and the nature of his international theme.
