“不从国教派”的复兴与19世纪英国宗教多元化问题述论

摘　　要：新教非国教派是19世纪英国宗教多元化加速推进的主要力量之一,其自18世纪中期至19世纪初的发展壮大,为其积聚力量蓄势待发的重要阶段。整体而言,此一时期"不从国教派"呈快速扩展之势,但具体到不同教派,则情形有异,不可一概而论。作为一个整体的"不从国教派"之发展壮大的意义在于,它促进了以宗教平等为内容的"真正"宗教多元化时代的开启,进而深刻影响着维多利亚时代英国宗教进一步迈向平等化的进程;而"不从国教派"阵营内部的不同发展情形则表明,"不从国教派"并非真正意义上的统一体,其内部诸教派各有所持,隐伏着相互矛盾、冲突乃至分裂的可能。"不从国教派"内部诸教派之间的差异及其所隐含的分化倾向,虽则不利于其力量整合,但同样暗合了宗教多元发展的内在要求。The protestant Dissent was one of the main forces in speeding the religious pluralism in 19 th century England,its development and expansion in the later 18 th and early 19 th centuries thus became an important stage for its further gain.Generally speaking,the protestant Dissent expanded quickly during this period,but for every denomination or sect things differed greatly.The significance of the protestant Dissent’s expansion as a whole lay in that it promoted the initial occurrence of the genuine religious pluralism,and deeply influenced the process of further pluralism of English religion in the Victorian age.On the other hand,the differences in protestant Dissent’s developments meant that the protestant Dissent was not a true body of unity,every denomination or sect within it held its own doctrines and ideas,so possibly resulting some contradictions and conflicts and even schisms in the future.Though not beneficial to gathering its strength,the differences within the protestant Dissent and its possibly resulting divisions,foreshadowed the trends for future developments of English religion,while accorded latently with the inner requirements of religious pluralism.
