摘 要:唐代佛教消灾祈福行香活动包括:皇帝举行的消灾祈福行香、官僚举行的消灾祈福行香、高僧举行的消灾祈福行香等。资料显示:有外敌进犯或发生自然灾害时,唐朝皇帝常常焚香礼佛,祈愿退敌或消灾;有内部叛乱或发生自然灾害时,唐朝官僚常常焚香礼佛,为人民祈福行香;出现旱灾时,唐朝高僧常常焚香礼佛,为民众祈求雨雪。可见唐代消灾祈福行香仪式极为重要,是唐朝统治阶层面临内忧外患和自然灾害时,稳定民心、增强信心的重要应对举措。In Tang Dynasty the Buddhist incense burning activities for eliminating disasters and praying for blessings were mainly conducted by emperors,bureaucrats and eminent monks.Records show that when foreign enemies invaded or natural disasters occurred,the emperors often burned incense to pray for the Buddha's protection.When internal rebellions or natural disasters broke out,bureaucrats often burned incense to pray for the Buddha's protection.When droughts happened,eminent monks often burned incense to pray for rain or snow.It can be seen that incense burning ceremonies for eliminating disasters and praying for blessings were very important,which were the ruling class’s countermeasures to stabilize people's hearts and enhance their confidence when faced with enemies and natural disasters.
