摘　　要：利德希尔斯矿工图书馆是英国现存最古老的民间图书馆,创立于教区图书馆向现代公共图书馆转变时期,是英国现代公共图书馆的先声,该馆设有图书馆基金会、读书会、理事会3个二级机构。图书馆藏书5 000余册,以面向入会会员服务为主。该图书馆是英国图书馆平民教育的先驱,也是图书馆互助思想的践行者。图书馆具有完善的法人治理机制,整合了利德希尔斯村博物馆、档案馆等文化机构。借鉴其经验,我国民间图书馆可设立图书馆基金会、建立社团式阅读联盟、拓展图书馆的社会职能。The oldest independent library in the United Kingdom,Leadhills Mineral Library was founded in the period of parish librarianship developed to modern public librarianship and was considered the ancestor of modern public library.It has three secondary institutions:the Library Heritage Trust,Reading Society and Library Committee.There are more than 5 000 books in the library.It provides service to its subscription members.It is the pioneer of library civilian education in the U.K.and practitioner of mutual assistance ideas.The library has perfect corporate governance mechanism and integrates the village museum,archives and other cultural institutions into one organization.Drawing on Leadhills Mineral Library's experience,Chinese independent library could set up library foundation,establish community reading society,and expand social functions.
