摘　　要：科潘遗址8N-11号贵族居址的发掘是中国考古学者在中美洲地区主持的第一个田野考古项目。该居址主体是一处封闭的方形院落,内部边长约35米,四面均为石砌高台建筑,外缘边长约50米,南侧中部有通道。庭院周围分布着20多处小型建筑。The Site 8N-11 at Copan Site is an enclosed square courtyard.On the main architecture in the north(70C)of it,many mosaic sculptures are found,the main motifs of which are the designs of“Mexican year signs”and crossed torches exclusively used by the royal family.Analyzed by the stratigraphical relationships,pottery types and sculpture styles,the 70C might be built during the reign of the 16th king of the Copan Kingdom,its residents had lofty statuses and close relationship with the royal family,and reflected the political reform of the 16th king to share powers with the elites.The 70C decorated with 13 sets of sculptures bearing sacred meanings might have the property of“ancestral temple”.The sculpture designs also reflected the militarist spirit at that time.
