摘　　要：擅长于短篇小说中探讨美国人内心世界的舍伍德·安德森在其长篇小说《暗笑》中同样表现出了对现代人类的心理问题与生态问题的深刻洞悉。小说中,作家明确地以一个现代主义者的忧患意识批判了工业文明对自然资源的掠夺性开发,同时把社会因素与自然因素结合起来,对女性命运和婚姻中两性关系的发展做出了深入剖析。在生态意识日益深入人心的今天,《暗笑》中两性关系与生态伦理的交叠互融,不但彰显了安德森作品的文学价值和思想价值,也更会激发读者对实现两性之间和人类与自然之间和谐相处做出新的尝试。Sherwood Anderson,who is well known for his study of American’s inner world in short fiction,presents his keen insight into psychological and ecological problems among modern people in his novel Dark Laughter.In the novel,Anderson criticized the exploitation of natural resources caused by the industrial civilization and also analyzed the sexual relationship within marriage in the context of a wider social framework.Nowadays,with the ecological consciousness and culture becoming more and more popular,the thoroughly explored relationship between genders and the concerned ecological ethics not only reveals the author’s literary accomplishment,but also raises great inspiration among readers to reach harmony between human and nature,men and women as well.
