摘　　要：文章在简要回顾美国公共图书馆健康信息服务历史的基础上,从称谓、主要职责和工作内容、职业技能培养三方面对美国公共图书馆健康信息服务提供者这一角色进行探讨。不同专业背景决定了公共图书馆健康信息服务提供者有不同的称谓。健康信息馆员具有信息组织、导航、教育三大职责,主要工作内容包括健康信息资源的收集和组织、健康信息咨询、健康素养的联合培养。文章以CHIS资格认证为例,论述这一核心角色的职业技能培养方式。Based on a brief review of health information service history of public library in the United States,this paper discusses the role of health information service providers,focusing on their appellations,main responsibilities and job description,and vocational skill training.The health information service providers in public library have different appellations due to their professional backgrounds.Health information-providing librarians are responsible for information organization,navigation and education.Their work mainly involved with the collection and organization of core health information resources,health information reference,and joint training of health literacy.Taking the CHIS qualification certification as an example,this paper discusses the vocational training for health information-providing librarians.
