摘　　要：公共图书馆有着保存人类文化遗产、开展社会教育、提供科学情报、开发智力资源的重要功能,公共图书馆建筑的选址问题影响着公共图书馆功能的发挥,选址问题不容小觑,以唐山市图书馆的建筑选址为例,选址应遵循地理学原则、美学原则、风水学原则。Public library serves to preserve the heritage of human beings,carry out social education,provide a scientific intelligence and develop intellectual resources.Since the site selection of public library has great impact on its functions,it should not be underestimated.Taking Tangshan library as an example,this paper discusses the matters to be taken into consideration while making site selection from the three angles of geography,aesthetics and geomancy.
