摘　　要：美国诗人萨拉·蒂斯代尔因其抒情诗常涉及男女之情而被称为"脂粉"诗人,其实宿命与虚无才是其抒情诗的基调。蒂斯代尔深谙这个世界的悲剧本质,她的生命与诗歌互相渗透、不可分离,诗中悲剧的爱情、爱与美的毁灭以及人无可逃遁的死亡昭示着诗人渐入悲观主义、宿命论与虚无主义的泥淖,最后不堪抑郁症折磨的诗人无以自救而选择了自杀。Sara Teasdale is an American lyric poet,known as“the poetess of rouge”,as her poems deal mostly with romantic love.At a rudimentary level,however,her poems are deeply rooted in fatalism and nihilism.Teasdale has a profound understanding of the tragic nature of the world,and her life and poetry are closely intertwined.The tragic love,the destruction of love and beauty,and the inevitability of death unfolded in her oeuvre reveal to us an anguished life weltering in the swamp of pessimism,fatalism and nihilism.At the age of forty-eight,she committed suicide as a result of the unbearably excruciating agony of depression.
