对称纤芯-包层光子晶体光纤的耦合特性

摘　　要：提出了一种新型对称纤芯-包层结构的光子晶体光纤,其截面由两组沿截面中心完全对称的纤芯-包层结构组成。对一组纤芯-包层结构的所有空气孔进行填充乙醇液体,利用填充液折射率的温度敏感性,来调制两纤芯之间的耦合特性。采用有限元法数值分析了该型光纤双芯不同结构参数及-20～70℃之间温度变化时的耦合特性。结果显示该型光纤双芯之间的耦合对温度具有高度敏感度,具有极短的耦合长度,在波长为1550 nm处耦合长度仅为55. 00μm,且可实现超短长度、高消光比偏振分束特性,长度为198μm时消光比达到84. 45 d B。该型光纤可以制作成性能很好的温度传感器和偏振分束器。A novel symmetric core cladding structure photonic crystal fiber(PCF) is proposed in the paper. The crosssection is composed of two groups of core cladding structures,which are completely symmetrical along the center of the section. All the air holes of a group of core cladding structures were filled with ethanol liquid,and the mode coupling properties between two cores are modulated by using the temperature sensitivity of the refractive index of the filled liquid. The mode coupling characteristics of the proposed PCF under different structure parameters and different temperature range from-20 ℃ to 70 ℃ are numerically investigated by using the full-vector finite element method. The calculations show that the mode coupling between the two cores is highly sensitive to temperature and has a very short coupling length,which is only 55. 00 μm at the wavelength of 1550 nm,and the polarization splitting characteristics of short length and high extinction ratio can be realized,which can reach 84. 45 d B with a length of 198 μm the proposed PCF at the wavelength of 1550 nm. The proposed PCF can be used to make temperature sensor and polarization beam splitter.
