摘　　要：《拉格泰姆时代》是美国犹太作家E. L.多克特罗的代表作。这部并不厚重的小说因其融事实和虚构于一体,消解小说与历史的界限,以及鲜明的后现代创作风格在美国文坛引起轰动。因此,长期以来学界多从创作技巧与写作手法上解读这部作品,从而忽略了对其深刻的思想内涵的解读。然而,这部小说正是以"机械复制"和"变化"为主题,以探寻二者的动态平衡为目的,从而深刻地探讨了后工业时代机械复制对人类物质生活和精神生活的双重影响,体现了作者鲜明的人文主义关怀,以及对后现代人类生存困境的深切思考。Ragtime is the representative work of American Jewish writer E.L.Doctorow.This novel has caused a sensation in the American literary world by its integration of fact and fiction,dissolution of the boundaries between novel and history,as well as its distinctive postmodern writing style.Therefore,the academic community interpreted this novel from perspectives of writing technique and method,thus had ignored the interpretation of its profound ideological connotation for a long time.However,“mechanical replication”and“transformation”are two main themes of this novel.By searching for the dynamic balance between them,Doctorow explore mechanical duplication’s influence on human material life and spiritual life in post-industrial era,which displays his obvious humanistic concern and profound thought on survival dilemma of post-modern human.
