摘　　要：邓衍林是我国早期参考咨询专家,1932年至1937年任职于国立北平图书馆参考组,积累了丰富的参考咨询实践经验,1956年回国后任教于北京大学图书馆学系,探索参考咨询理论研究。邓衍林最早提出本土化参考咨询研究框架,重视立法决策服务、咨询档案整理工作,留存我国首例图书馆立法决策服务记载,为我国参考咨询事业发展做出了贡献。As a pioneering reference librarian in modern China,Teng Yen-lin devoted most of his career to reference work.From1932to1937,he served in the Reference Group of the National Library of Peiping,and became fairly experienced in reference work.After returning to China,he became a staff of the Department of Library Science,Peking University,and tried to construct a theoretical framework of reference work with Chinese characteristics for the first time.Besides,he attached great importance to reference work for legislative decisions as well as the filing of reference work archives,leaving behind him the first record of China's reference work.In short,he contributed much to China's reference work.
