“自然之镜”中的荒原镜像——《时间中的孩子》的生态主义视角

摘  要:《时间中的孩子》作为英国"国民作家"麦克尤恩的转型代表作,自从出版以来,评论界一直对小说标题蕴涵的孩子镜像有层出不穷的解释。然而,所谓的"艺术之镜"只是在单维层面映衬出孩子镜像的文学意义,迷失在时间中的孩子一直没有得到多维立体的阐释。从生态主义的视角来看,伦敦这座繁华都市是用来折射和反思人类中心主义社会发展方式的"自然之镜"。本文从镜像理论出发,运用生态主义批评方法,探索迷失在自然空间、社会空间与精神空间构成的三维立体空间的孩子镜像及其所代表的不同意义与价值,尝试分析麦克尤恩的人类中心主义和成年人权威体制下的生态自然观,解释在生态批评维度麦氏小说超越文学意义上的现实镜鉴价值。Since the publication of The Child in Time as the transition masterpiece of British“National Writer”McEwan,critics have been constantly explaining the child image contained in the title of the novel.However,the so-called“art mirror”only reflects the literary meaning of children’s mirror image on the single-dimension level,and children lost in time have not been explained in a multidimensional way.From the perspective of ecologism,the prosperous city of London is a“natural state”used to reflect the development of anthropocentrism society.Based on the theory of mirror image and the method of ecologism,this paper explores the children’s mirror image of three-dimensional space,which is composed of natural space,social space and spiritual space,and their different meanings and values.This paper attempts to analyze McEwan’s view of ecology and nature under the system of anthropocentrism and adult authority and to explain the realistic and instructive value of McEwan’s novels beyond literature in the dimension of ecological criticism.
