摘　　要："五四"运动后,女性解放呼声高涨。在这特定的时代背景下,《霍桑探案》系列小说植根于现实土壤和社会生态,通过描绘不同身份女性如女学生、舞女、家庭主妇等的现实困境和人生命运,反映近代中国女性试图打破外在牢笼和束缚的艰难。通过对这些女性形象的分析和解读,能加深对晚清到民国时期社会生态的认识,以及对女性解放问题的理解。After the May 4th movement, the voice of women’s liberation was high. Under this specific background, A Collection of Hawthorne’s Detective Stories are rooted in the real soil and social ecology. By depicting the real the plight of women of different identities in different fields, such as female students, dancers and housewives, the difficulties of modern Chinese women are reflected in trying to break the external cage and bondage. Through the analysis and interpretation of these female images, we can deepen our understanding of the social ecology from the late Qing dynasty to the republic of China, as well as the issue of women’s liberation.
