Objective To investigate the difference of peripheral arterial and venous blood gas in critically ill patients. Methods 35 cases of ICU critically ill patients in our hospital from October 2017 to December 2017 were selected.Peripheral blood and peripheral venous blood were collected at the same time.Blood gas analysis was used to analyze the blood gas analysis. The results were compared by statistical software. Results There was no significant difference between the pH value of the arterial and venous blood, the partial pressure of carbon dioxide, concentration of bicarbonate and alkali remainder of the 35 cases. There was not statistically significant(P >0.05).There was a significant difference in oxygen partial pressure(P<0.001).Conclusion The blood gas analysis of peripheral arteries and peripheral veins of critically ill patients has no significant difference.Patients who have difficulty in collecting arterial blood samples with high risk and no central venous catheter indwelling can use peripheral venous blood gas analysis to quickly understand the patient's acid-base state.
