“三翟”原型鸟蠡测  

A Forecast of the Archetype Birds in Patterns of 'San Di'

摘　　要：在《周礼》记载的王后及命妇六种礼服中,袆衣、揄翟、阙翟因其上有不同的翟鸟图案被统称"三翟"。关于这三种图案的原型鸟,文献记载语焉不详,且莫衷一是。文章仅就古文献对其中某种鸟形态特征的描述,比对现代鸟类学著作进行了一些初步的探讨推测,认为早期袆衣雉形图案的原型鸟是雉科锦鸡属的白腹锦鸡;揄翟雉形图案的原型鸟疑似是雉科长尾雉属的黑长尾雉或黑颈长尾雉;阙翟雉形图案的原型鸟是雉科雉属的环颈雉。Among the six kinds of ceremonial robes or dresses of empresses and titled madams recorded in Zhou Li,Hui Yi and Yu Di and Que Di were named San Di because of the different patterns of Di Bird on them.The documents had no records about the archetype birds in these three patterns in detail and had different explanation.This paper probed into conjecture comparing the ancient documents describing the pattern features of some bird of them with modern works of avian,and thinks the early archetype birds inpattern of Hui Yi were Chrysolophusamherstiae of Pheasant family Caragana;the ones inpattern of Yu Di was suspected to be SyrmaticusMikado or Syrmaticushumiae of Pheasant family;the ones in pattern of Que Di was phasianuscolchicus of Pheasants.
