摘　　要：特纳起义是南北战争前美国境内影响最大的一场奴隶抗争事件。起义领导者纳特·特纳自幼在南部的农场劳动、学习,长期钻研宗教教义。特纳宣称自己曾亲见数次异象,经历多次天启神谕。1831年,特纳发动南汉普顿的奴隶起义,沿途劫掠,迅速遭到镇压。特纳同年被处决。其自白书是现存有关特纳起义的唯一正式纪录。特纳起义震惊南方社会,加剧南北双方的不信任感,南方各州相继出台了更为严厉的奴隶法案。Nat Turner’s rebellion was the most influential slave revolt in the United States before the Civil War.Nate Turner,the leader of the rebellion,studied religious doctrine for a long time while working on a farm in the south.Turner declared that he had met several visions and experienced a series of apocalyptic oracles.In 1831,Nat Turner launched a slave revolt in Southampton,looting along the way.But the rebellion was quickly suppressed and Turner was executed the same year.Nat Turner’s rebellion shocked southern society and exacerbated mistrust between the North and the South.Southern states enacted more stringent slave laws.
