摘 要:认知诗学的"文本世界理论"不仅有助于分析文学作品的内在结构,区分不同体裁的文本,解释故事情节发展,还有助于分析小说的聚焦层次、多重主题和作者的审美取向。运用文本世界理论分析爱伦·坡的小说《丽姬娅》发现:作者以经典的哥特式场景为小说的大背景,构建了以死亡为主题的初始文本世界,随着小说的叙事聚焦、时空和人物等指示信息与指称信息发生变化,初始文本世界被分裂成三个独立的指示次级世界,分别揭示出作者对"美""生"与"死"的认知以及对艺术的不懈追求,从而使作者与读者通过文本世界实现跨时空与跨文化的有效交流。Text world theory of cognitive poetics is not only conducive to analyzing inner structure of literary works,distinguishing different genres,interpreting plot development,but helpful for analyzing narrative focalizations,multi-themes and the author’s aesthetic views.In the light of text world theory it is not difficult to find that an initial text world is built up in Adgar Allan Poe’s Ligeia to discuss the topic“death”on the background of typical gothic scenes.With variation of deictic and denotational information(world-building elements)including time and space,narrative focalizations and characters,the initial text world is split into three independent deictic sub-worlds,which respectively reveals the author’s cognition towards beauty,life and death,and his constant pursuit of artistic expressions.In this way the cross-time and intercultural communication between the author and reader can be achieved effectively through text worlds.
