摘　　要：With the advancement of information technology and in the current development of the network society, the emerging network language, driven by strong language memes, continually derives and spreads. Based on memetics, the paper analyzes the memes phenomenon of Chinese network catchwords in 2018 and that it can be categorized into three forms. And it further explores the reasons for the popularity of network catchwords: simplicity, vividness, and defamiliarization.
